Back to Dance
Welcome back to School…er, I mean Dance everyone!
Hopefully you and your dancer(s) have had an excellent, relaxing summer and are ready to get back into the swing of things in the new school year. Nothing like fresh new tights, clean dance bag, and A NEW STUDIO!!! Can you believe it!? We are beyond excited to be in a new home with lots of space to spread out and grow!
You will notice that there is now a lobby in which you can sit and relax, get to know other parents, and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (wink, wink more on that in a minute) while your dancer is busy in their classes. Please get comfortable and get to know each other! If you can think of anything that would make the lobby more comfortable, don’t hesitate to let one of the Dance Team parents or Ms Mariah know.
If you weren’t able to make it out to one of the registration events, I encourage you to make arrangements with Ms Mariah to tour the studio and meet the new instructors. We are in for some exciting dance this year!
Back to Dance Reminders
The first week of classes is always busy! The building is filled with excitement and often a few extra people! Here are a few tips to help you and your dancer transition back to dance:
- Plan to arrive a few extra minutes early to allow time for parking and learning the new dance check-in process.
- If you still need to purchase shoes or any other dance gear contact Ms Mariah during normal business hours. Please don’t inundate her during the check-in process. There is too much commotion and you’ll probably forget some of your questions in all the excitement.
- Remind younger dancers to use the restroom before their class.
- Please take the opportunity to relax in our parent waiting area and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and get to know other parents.
Parent Coffee/Tea Station
For your convenience and pleasure, the team parents have created a coffee/tea station with an honor pay system! Please help yourself to coffee or tea, and any of the related accompaniments. We are asking for a modest $1.25 donation per cup. Change will not be provided, so we ask that you either round up to $2.00, of which we gladly thank you in advance, or make up the difference the next time you have a seat in the lobby. The proceeds from the money collected from coffee and tea service will be divided equally among the team members to help them offset convention and competition costs.
Wishing you and your dancer(s) a FABULOUS dance year!
